Shamanic Services
This work can stand on its own, or it can be practiced
alongside psychotherapy and other approaches.
Ceremonial & Ancestral Constellation Work
Some of Scott’s work takes place within ceremonial and ancestral fields that are not immediately visible, yet profoundly formative. This work is often described as constellation work — engaging the relational patterns between people, families, land, and lineage that continue to influence present-day experience. It is not focused on fixing symptoms, but on restoring right relationship where something essential has been disrupted, forgotten, or carried forward unresolved.
Those who arrive here usually do so through referral, resonance, or lived understanding. This is not introductory work, and it is not entered casually.
No belief is required — only respect, consent, and willingness to meet what arises. This work unfolds through relationship, not scheduling.
Shamanic Journeying
Shamanic journeying is a spiritual practice found in many Indigenous and traditional cultures, though the specific beliefs, methods, and meanings vary widely. In contemporary practice, it often refers to entering a focused, trance-like state — typically using repetitive drumming, rattling, chanting, or meditation — primarily to communicate with spirits or non-ordinary realms, and, in that process, to explore symbolic inner experience.
Shamanic Healing
Shamanic healing is an umbrella term for a variety of spiritual healing practices found in many Indigenous and traditional cultures around the world. There is no single system of shamanic healing — practices differ significantly between cultures and practitioners. Many traditions describe illness as involving not only the body but also emotional, social, and spiritual imbalance. A shamanic practitioner may seek to identify and address these imbalances through ritual, ceremony, direct healing, and divinatory practice.
-
Rituals involving drumming, chanting, dancing, or prayer.
-
In some traditions, the use of medicinal plants under culturally specific protocols.
Shamanic Extraction
Shamanic extraction (sometimes called spiritual extraction) is a healing practice described in many shamanic traditions. It is based on an understanding that illness, emotional distress, or a sense of imbalance can be caused by intrusive spiritual influences, and that a trained practitioner can identify and remove them. There is no single universal practice. The meaning and methods can vary by culture.
Shamanic Soul Retrieval
Shamanic soul retrieval is a healing practice found in many shamanic traditions and has also become a central concept in modern forms of shamanism. Soul retrieval is based on an understanding that a person may lose part of their spiritual essence in overwhelming experiences such as trauma, grief, abuse, illness, or major life changes. This is often referred to as soul loss. Within those understandings, signs might include:
-
Feeling emotionally numb or disconnected.
-
A persistent sense that part of me is missing, or I’ve never been the same since that happened.
-
Difficulty feeling joy or vitality.
-
Repeating unhealthy patterns or feeling stuck.
Power Animal Retrieval
Shamanic power animal retrieval is a practice found in many shamanic traditions and is especially well known in contemporary shamanism. It is based on an understanding that each person can have one or more spiritual allies — often experienced in the form of animals — that offer protection, guidance, strength, or wisdom.
Psychopomp Work
In shamanic traditions, psychopomp is understood as a guide who escorts souls between worlds — most commonly helping the souls of the deceased transition. This may also involve helping a deceased person’s spirit complete its journey, resolving spiritual disturbances associated with the dead, and guiding communities through grief and rites of passage surrounding death.
Shamanic Depossession
Shamanic depossession is a healing practice described in many shamanic and spiritual traditions across time and cultures. It is based on an understanding that a person’s well-being can be affected by the presence of an external spiritual entity or influence, and that a trained practitioner can help the entity leave.
Shamanic Ancestral Work
Shamanic ancestral work refers to spiritual practices that focus on developing a relationship with one’s ancestors for guidance, healing, wisdom, reconciliation, and practical assistance. A theme of many contemporary approaches, including family constellations, is that healing can flow across generations, assisting those who have gone before and those who will come after, in gratitude for the strengths, sacrifices, and assistance of previous generations. This may involve:
-
Family narratives and recurring patterns.
-
Intergenerational trauma and resilience.
-
Feelings of belonging and identity.
Shamanic Property Clearing & Blessing
Shamanic property clearing and blessing refers to spiritual practices intended to cleanse, harmonize, or bless a home, workplace, or piece of land.
-
Clearing stagnant or unwanted energies, including what some people refer to as haunted premises.
-
Honoring the history of the land and those who lived there before.
-
Inviting harmony, protection, and well-being.
-
Establishing a positive relationship between people and the place they inhabit.
Many Indigenous traditions emphasize that land is not simply property but part of a living
relationship involving people, plants, animals, and place. In those contexts, ceremonies often focus on respect, reciprocity, and responsibility rather than simply “clearing” a space.
“My husband felt as though some difficult energy or ‘bad karma’ had been following
him from somewhere in the past. I had known Scott for years and trusted him completely,
so we asked him to come and clear any unwanted energy connected with our pasts and
help us begin a new road together.
Since the house blessing, our home has felt like our castle — safe, grounded, and truly
a haven for us. Our marriage is stronger than ever, and we are both doing well.
Scott is experienced, trustworthy, talented, caring, and knowledgeable. We have
complete trust in him and highly recommend his work.”

“I felt there was a dark energy in my home, and I was having recurring nightmares.
I trusted Scott fully and asked him to clear the space.
After the clearing, I felt an immediate sense of lightness. My home felt brighter,
happier, and much more peaceful. I love being there now, and I have not had the
nightmares since.
The biggest change is how safe my home feels. What once felt dark and unsettling
now feels filled with happiness, love, and peace.”

Golden Staircase Qigong
Golden Staircase Qigong is a shamanic qigong Scott developed, combining classical qigong movement with sacred ritual, intention, and the medicine wheel used in an energetic fashion. Like most qigong, it moves energy and clears blockages in the body’s energy anatomy to support health and wellbeing. Its particular focus is bringing forward a person’s true nature and enhancing their own energetic potential.
The practice draws on natural rhythms, the forces of nature, and energetic alchemy to reach stillness and harmony. It also includes self-help exercises for emotional regulation and for working with trauma. Scott founded the Qigong Foundation of Colorado. Ongoing classes are listed under Workshops.
Shamanic Mentorship
With more than twenty-five years of shamanic practice, Scott works as a shamanic mentor. Scott also mentors practitioners developing their own professional shamanic practice, not only their personal one. Shamanic counseling and coaching is a contemporary practice that combines spiritual guidance inspired by shamanic traditions with elements of personal development. People may seek shamanic counseling or coaching for:
-
Exploring personal purpose or life direction, including work, career, and business.
-
Navigating major life transitions.
-
Developing a spiritual practice.
-
Working through recurring patterns or questions of meaning.
-
Deepening a sense of connection to nature or spirituality.
What People Have Experienced
“I’m so grateful for the work Scott and I have done together over the past 15 years. He has helped me grow in ways I couldn’t have imagined when we started.
Scott has a unique and rare combination of skills and experience as both a therapist and a shaman. He has helped me navigate a great deal of difficult life experience, and the energy work has been particularly healing, therapeutic, and transformative. I consistently left our sessions feeling lighter.
I will always value the impact Scott has had on my life. I deeply appreciate his guidance and support over the years and highly recommend his work.”

“My house feels different since it was energetically remodeled. It feels better —
cooperative, supportive, clear.
Scott helped me understand how to participate in a deeper relationship with my home
rather than simply having something done to it. He identified places that felt supportive, areas that needed clearing, and ways I could connect more intentionally with inspiration, dreams, ancestors, and spiritual support.
One of the most meaningful discoveries was the enormous pine in my backyard, which
I now experience as part of the spiritual life of this place.
My home is so much more than a shelter now. It has become intimately involved with
my life, my healing, and my spiritual unfolding.”
— Private Client
“The first thing Scott does in a healing session is create sacred space. He takes the
time and care to establish a space that feels entirely safe…” — Private Client
